Jimbo Fisher during Monday's press conference that Florida State could have a new punt returner, replacing Rashad Greene.

Tuesday, Tyler Hunter confirmed during media interviews that he is indeed working as the first-string punt returner.

Florida State fans can now breathe a sigh of relief. Probably.

While Rashad Greene was quite good with the ball in his hands, he struggled mightily to actually track and then catch the punt. Depending on one's interpretation, it can be argued that the Seminoles have muffed five punts. That's an unacceptable number, and the resulting short-field possessions give the opposition a rare chance to score on Florida State's defense.

In Potential solutions to Florida State's punt return problem, I argued that the Seminoles needed to try another punt returner, or at the very least have Greene back up a good distance so that he doesn't need to backpedal.

What are your thoughts on the promotion of Tyler Hunter?
