Some of the best quarterback recruits in the Midwest will gather Saturday morning in Chicago to compete in the Elite 11 regional. Among them are several stars, and quite a few underclassmen who may blossom into blue chips.
Several have already committed to major schools. Drew Lock, of Lee's Summit (Mo.), recently pledged to Missouri over offers from many of the top programs in the country. Jack Beneventi, of Lisle (Ill.) Benet Academy, is an Iowa commit who also holds other major offers. And Jimmy Fitzgerald, of Champaign (Ill.) Centennial, is an Illinois commitment.
Several others are uncommitted, but hold major offers. Tommy Stevens, of Indianapolis (Ind.) Decatur Central, holds a Michigan State offer, among others, and could be on the verge of receiving even bigger scholarship offers if he continues to improve and impress. Brady White, of Santa Clarita (Calif.) Hart, claims offers from Cal, Penn State, Arizona State and Washington State. Demry Croft, of Rockford (Ill.) Boylan Central Catholic, has a few teams sniffing around. And Ryan Willis, of Mission (Kan.) Bishop Miege, is a Kansas State legacy with a very nice skill set.
