Florida State had a very successful spring game and spring football period. Let's hear Jimbo Fisher discuss his thoughts on the game and the spring.
I'll be answering the questions we posed before the beginning of spring ball, and I don't know that there are clear answers at all spots, but when a team has this much talent, and it goes through spring without any major injuries, that's a success in my book.
Here's Winston.
And here's Winston breaking down the huddle before the game.
Recruiting
-Tight end Jalen WIlkerson, of Douglas (Ga.) Coffee made the trip for FSU's spring game. I expect him to publicly commit to Florida State soon. The three-star also holds offers fro Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Miami and Michigan.
Taking pics and signing autographs was the best part today and the much love they showed at FSU 🏈 #Blessed#Humble

-FSU also offered Janarius Robinson, a very interesting 2016 defensive end out of Panama City (Fla.) Bay High School. Robinson was a receiver up until recently, but he has some serious potential at 6'5 and 230 pounds, and FSU did a good job of getting on him early because he is a big Seminoles fan. He will be returning to Tallahassee Friday with his mother and I would not be surprised to see him commit on that visit. He told me in March that his goal was to earn a scholarship and play for Florida State. During his conversation with Jimbo FIsher, he asked about academics and graduation rates.
And as you can see, his twitter avatar is all FSU, and he follows the team a lot (he retweeted the second tweet).

Legal
James Wilder, Jr. was arrested again Sunday for a warrant related to him driving on a suspended license. -- his fifth arrest relating to driving with a suspended license, or similar. I don't think teams are going to start regarding the draft prospect as a bad person, but they should absolutely question his maturity and discipline when it comes to keeping his license valid.
Elsewhere
Some of FSU's major opponents did not do so well in their spring games, while others did.
-Miami's quarterbacks were absolutely horrible, going 16-41 for 128 yards (combined). Considering the talent level of the defense they faced, that's quite worrisome. Kevin Olsen was highly recruited, but after seeing that performance, I can believe that he was behind senior Ryan Williams, who tore his ACL in late March.
-Clemson's quarterback battle may have been settled because Chad Kelly was benched in a spring game for his attitude and yelling at the coaches. Seriously.
-Florida's offense looked much better, according to Alligator Army. I didn't get to watch that and don't have much to add. The comment section there is pretty informative as well.
-Jacoby Brissett looked really good for N.C. State at QB.
