Nick Brossette is an elite Class of 2015 running back.

Brossette, out of University Lab in Baton Rouge, La., stands 6' and weighs in at 207 pounds. As of June, he's rated as a consensus four-star prospect by 247sports, Rivals, Scout and ESPN. The 247 composite, a compilation of data from the four major recruiting services, lists him as the 79th-best player in America, the seventh-best running back and the second-best player from the state of Louisiana.

Brossette has drawn interest from top programs around the country. He holds scholarship offers from LSU, California, Alabama, Auburn, Baylor, Florida State, Miami, Notre Dame, Texas and UCLA, among others.

Fans can follow Brossette on Twitter @NBrossette.

Brossette is not the biggest back in the country. Or the fastest. Or the shiftiest. But he is one of the top runners in the country.

Brossette does a great job of not being tackled, which in its simplest form, is the job of the running back. He rarely takes big shots, and manages to present a small target for tacklers. Brossette runs with great balance. He delivers a blow and keeps his legs churning, mixing shrug and stiff-arm, with some wiggle as well.

Brossette also seems to have a good feel for how to play the running back position.

There is not one specific part of Brossette's game that makes me say "this trait is the best in the country," but he is very good overall. I project him as a player who will pick up a lot of valuable yards, not get stopped for many negatives, and will convert many first downs. However, I do not see him as a player who will hit a lot of home runs. He simply lacks break-away speed. He also catches the football well.

I think Brossette is one of the 10 or 12 best running backs in the country.

Note: Recruits commit and decommit throughout the process. No effort is made to note commitments or decommitments in these scouting reports. All we note is claimed offers at the time of evaluation.
