Brady White is one of the top quarterbacks in the Class of 2015.
White, out of Hart High School in Santa Clarita, Calif., stands 6'2 and weighs in at 190 pounds, and he runs a reported 4.68-second 40-yard dash. As of May, he's rated as a consensus four-star prospect by 247sports, Rivals, Scout and ESPN. The 247 composite, a compilation of data from the four major recruiting services, lists him as the 91st-best player in America, the third-best pro-style QB and the 14th-best player from the state of California.
White is drawing interest from many top programs across the country. He currently holds scholarship offers from Arizona State, Arizona, Cal, Illinois, Louisville, Maryland, Nebraska, Oregon, Penn State and Tennessee, among others.

White is one of the best quarterback recruits on the west coast. Physically, he’s a player with average height for the position but carries a strong arm. And while he’s not a classic "power thrower" he can push the ball to all fields. The ball comes off his hand quickly and doesn’t lose velocity during its downward trajectory. He exhibits the ability the change speeds as well, dialing up the RPM’s to make window throws or applying touch as he deems necessary.
Though, White demonstrates good lower body mechanics when setting up to throw, would like to see his pocket mobility improve. He can be a bit mechanical at times and would like to see him shorten his stride length. Better ability to slide in the pocket will help create throwing lanes as he goes through his reads. He needs to maximize the functional space available in the pocket.
This is something he’ll need to improve upon as he’ll be asked to make plays in more compressed areas at the next level. There are also instances on tape where you don’t see White fully stride into throws in the face of pressure.
In terms of accuracy, White not only can place the ball away from defenders, but also puts his receivers in position to make plays after the catch. His ball control is also evident in his ability to make bucket throws on end zone fade routes or drop the ball in front of the safety on post-corner routes. He powers the ball through coverage on skinny posts and dig routes, beating tight coverage with placement.
One thing you notice on film is the White is a very good ball handler as a quarterback. He often waits until the last second the pull the ball out of the pit of the running back’s belly on play-action passes. He’s also very good at pump fakes to sell double moves and freeze safeties to clear throwing lanes.
With his compact motion and ability to deliver the ball to all fields, White has the tools to project as a plus level starter at the college level.
