In case you missed it, sources gave Tomahawk Nation a preliminary injury update on defensive tackles Eddie Goldman, Nile Lawrence-Stample and Justin Shanks. Lots of PRP going on.

-Jimbo Fisher did not have his normal Monday press conference due to the bye week, but did have his normal weekly appearance on Jeff Cameron's 97.9 ESPN Radio. That should be posted here fairly soon.

-ESPN asks if it is too early to question Florida State? No, not as long as the right questions are being asked. But using advanced metrics this early in the season with such a lack of data and interconnectivity is certainly not the right way to do it.

-This is really cool from Spencer Hall.

-Pretty much every from ESPN still projects FSU to make the playoff.

-I've thought that FSU would not sign 4-star CB commit Tyrek Cole for quite a while now, and even though the rumors that Cole officially decommitted late last week were untrue, I still feel this way. The buzz, though, is that he might end up at West Virginia and not Miami, because a former Miramar coach and mentor now coaches with the Mountaineers.

-An interesting weekend coming up for the ACC while FSU has a bye: Wake Forest is a 14-point underdog at Utah State, BC is a 17-point underdog hosting USC, N.C. State is favored by less than a field goal at USF, Syracuse by only a TD at Central Michigan, Louisville by only six at Virginia, Miami by only 16 hosting Arkansas State, and Virginia Tech by only 11 hosting East Carolina. Luckily for the league, most media only focus on the upper tier teams within it, so as long as Virginia Tech and Louisville hold serve, the losses likely coming to the non-bowl teams won't matter all that much.

-Miami fans trying to raise money to fly a "Fire Al Golden" banner during the FSU-Miami game? Yup.
