Last week, we posted a Florida State rooting guide with our TV listings, and it went better than we could have imagined.
Remember, the goal of these is to get FSU to the playoff, even if the Seminoles have a loss.
Auburn at Mississippi State: Both teams are undefeated, so we cannot just root for the team with a loss. In this case, we go to tiebreaker No. 2: which team is least likely to pick up a future loss? That would be Mississippi State, so go Tigers.
Ole Miss at Texas A&M: Texas A&M, because FSU wants to eliminate undefeated teams as quickly as possible.
TCU at Baylor: Baylor, because if TCU wins, already holding a win over Oklahoma, there is a shot it could run the table. Baylor still has to go to Oklahoma, and a 1-loss FSU is going over a 1-loss Baylor because Baylor's non-conference schedule is an absolute joke.
Alabama at Arkansas: Arkansas. Knocking out potentially the most talented team in college football before Halloween would be big, not only for FSU's chances of getting into the playoff, but also of winning it.
USC at Arizona: USC, because it makes Oregon's loss to Arizona look worse, and because USC was a nice non-conference win for ACC member Boston College.
UNC at Notre Dame: Just win, Irish. No big slip-ups.
Texas at Oklahoma: Texas, although that seems unlikely. Oklahoma with two losses means the Sooners are done.
Oregon at UCLA: UCLA. Both teams already have a loss, but UCLA seems more likely to add another with its tougher remaining schedule (Southern Division plus Stanford).
Georgia at Missouri: MIZ-ZOU: Missouri continues to not get the respect it deserves, and if it's in the SEC East driver's seat it further embarrasses the SEC. Oh, and Todd Gurley is suspended over some NCAA nonsense.
LSU at UF: Florida? Maybe? It helps FSU's strength of schedule, if nothing else. If you want Will Muschamp to remain as UF's coach, definitely Florida.
Louisville at Clemson: Clemson, because the Tigers could be a 10-win opponent victory for the Seminoles.
Duke at Georgia Tech: Georgia Tech, because that could be a win over a ranked team for FSU in the ACC title game.
