Out of Alpharetta (Ga.) Milton High School, Carl Lawson is a dominant force on the defensive line. At 6'2 and 250 pounds, he is far too quick and powerful for opposing high school offensive tackles. And he has been committed to the Auburn Tigers since late March.
But now with Auburn's future in doubt as rumors swirl around coach Gene Chizik and his staff, other schools are seeing an opportunity to potentially flip Lawson.
The two main suitors are ACC schools with a reputation for putting defensive linemen in the NFL and a major need at the position: Florida State and Clemson.
Both schools have big weekends as Clemson travels to South Carolina, and Florida State hosts Florida.
The AJC reports that Lawson, a four or five-star prospect depending on service, may visit Clemson this weekend.
Clemson picked up its recruitment of Lawson after the decommitment of Robert Nkemdiche and the dropping of Elijah Daniels.

That Daniels may be Hargrave-bound is not a reason why, its because he lied

Meanwhile, sources at Florida State indicate that the Seminoles are working hard to get Lawson on campus this weekend.
Where will Lawson be this weekend? He's yet to make any definitive statements on the matter, but fans of the Tigers (both Auburn and Clemson) and the Seminoles will be watching with great interest.
