Jimbo Fisher contract extension with Florida State details

The coach will now be taking home $5M annually.

Florida State released the details of Jimbo Fisher's recent contract extension. Fisher is 58-11 as head coach of the Florida State Seminoles, winning four division titles, three ACC titles and a National Championship. He is 13-2 against rivals Florida, Miami and Clemson.

Here's what you need to know:

-Fisher will earn $5M as a base compensation in 2015, with a raise of $100K in each successive year, culminating with him earning a base of $5.7M in 2022. That makes him among the sport's highest paid coaches.

-Fisher's buyout will be $5M in 2016, $3M between 2017-18 and $1M before 2019.

-Fisher's bonuses include $100K for winning (ties included) the Atlantic Division, $100K for an ACC Championship, $100K for a CFB Playoff berth, $200K for reaching the National Championship Game, $200K for winning the National Championship, $100K if FSU plays in a non-playoff access bowl game, $50K for a bowl game not part of the CFB system, $200K for top-5 poll finish, $100K for a top-ten poll finish, $200K for an undefeated season, $75K for the AP National Coach of the Year, $50K for the ACC Coach of the Year, and $250K for other established university goals (see attached).

-Fisher secured a raise of $750K for his assistant coaches compensation pool.
