Everett Golson is expected to make his transfer plans known Monday.

Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson graduated over the weekend, which means that the QB is now eligible to transfer and play immediately under the graduate transfer rule. He is expected to announce his choice Monday, though he has not given a time.

Golson reportedly had a list of 10 schools, including several SEC schools and Florida State on his list. There is some question as to whether he would be eligible at SEC schools due to being suspended in 2013 for academic dishonesty. Golson visited Florida State, Florida and Georgia last week.

Florida State is expected to be Golson's choice. The Seminoles lost Jameis Winston to the NFL draft, and while red-shirt junior Sean Maguire is far ahead of anyone else on the roster, he has not given much reason to believe that he will be a star.

Golson is not guaranteed to be a star, or even a starter, for that matter. He certainly comes with questions of his own and  Jimbo Fisher was quick to note  that he would never promise a starting job to a transfer. But Florida State could certainly use the experienced depth a transfer would provide.

One Florida State source told Tomahawk Nation that Golson indicated to the staff he would be coming to Tallahassee. Other outlets have also predicted Golson to the Seminoles. Coach Jimbo Fisher's last three quarterbacks have been drafted in the first round.
