Cook's attorney believes the tape could help the Florida State star's case.
Ricky Patel, Dalvin Cook's attorney, tells Tomahawk Nation that if the case goes to trial, the defense plans to use the tape of the 911 call from the woman that State Attorney Willie Meggs called "very credible."
Credibility is an issue for a jury, so it is unlikely that the 911 call alone would lead to charges being dropped before a trial, but Patel clearly believes the contents of the call will help his client's chances with the jury in some way.
Background:
The audio of the 911 call that led to Florida State star running back Dalvin Cook's arrest has been released by TPD. Cook remains suspended indefinitely as he faces a battery charge stemming from a July 11th incident outside Clyde's & Costello's bar in downtown Tallahassee.
Jimbo Fisher stated at ACC Media Days Tuesday that he has no tolerance for players hitting women, and cited examples of previous players who had been dismissed for doing so, like former FSU QB De'Andre Johnson earlier this month.
