Welcome to The Crootletter (sign up to get this in your inbox every morning!). I'm Bud Elliott, SB Nation's National Recruiting Analyst, and in this space I'll be sharing news, rumors and musings on the world of college football recruiting.

Friday at 2 p.m. ET, I am hosting a college football recruiting chat on Facebook Live, taking reader questions and discussing an article I wrote Thursday about how the MLB Draft illuminates the hypocrisy of the collusion between the NFL and college football, a system which denies very talented people the opportunity to earn true value of their skills.

Here's the video of my live chat. Thanks to all for participating.

We’ll see if head coach Justin Fuente can change that. My hunch is that he’ll have to win more games first before kids buy in again (Here's Bill Connelly's big Tech preview, out on Friday.)

In fact, Bill is previewing the ACC this month, and you should check it out.

Missouri has offered an eighth-grader at quarterback.
