Adrian Baker, a cornerback recruit from South Florida, decommitted from Florida State Monday.

Out of Hollywood (Fla.) Chaminade-Madonna, Baker is a consensus three-star recruit.

Recruitniks will remember Baker as the recruit who didn't have a firm offer from Florida State, but who took to Twitter to announce his commitment, forcing FSU into a tough situation in which it ultimately accepted his commitment.

But after recent trips to Clemson and Oklahoma, Baker has decided to open up his recruitment.

The move makes sense, as Florida State's defensive coordinator Mark Stoops and area recruiter Eddie Gran have both left FSU in recent weeks to take promotions elsewhere. Baker has yet to develop relationships with FSU's remaining coaches.

Despite the apprehension over accepting his commitment, Baker is a talented player and had an impressive 2012 season as a senior.

Florida State now has 16 commitments in its 2013 class.
