Defensive end Tim Williams visited Alabama over the weekend and really enjoyed his time there.
Weakside defensive end prospect Tim Williams visited Alabama over the weekend, and he came away impressed. Williams said afterward that the Crimson Tide are his leaders ($) at the moment.
"Alabama is very strong with me right now," Williams said. "I think Alabama is probably my No. 1 school right now. It’s close to my house. My mom loved it. They really made my mom happy."
Williams is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com, and he ranks among the top 100 prospects in the 2013 class. He is also considering the Miami Hurricanes, and he plans a visit there next weekend. He'll visit Florida State the weekend after that.
The Hurricanes appear to have some work to do following Williams' Alabama trip; Williams said that Miami "really has to show me something." The Louisiana native likely would give LSU serious consideration as well, but he does not have a valid scholarship offer from the Tigers at this point.
