Top linebacker recruit Quinton Powell, of Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland, knows his final two schools.
Powell, a four-star recruit, announced via his Facebook that he was cancelling visits to South Carolina, Oregon and Miami. He will decide between Florida, the school to which he was once committed, and USC, where he recently visited.
Florida's linebacker class is quite impressive, and Powell is very different from most of its current backers. He's fast and long, but slight of build, and there are questions as to his ability to put on 20 or 30 pounds of muscle. At the very least, he should be able to be a very good nickel linebacker recruit.
The Gators have 26 total commitments and could take as many as 33. USC has 13 commitments, with room for a few more as well.
