Nate Andrews, a defensive back recruit, decommitted from the Minnesota Gophers and committed to the Florida State Seminoles, according to a report by Ben Thomas of Al.com.

Andrews, a three-star cornerback out of Fiarhope (Ala.) High School, is very tight with new Florida State defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt, formerly the defensive back coach at Alabama. Here is Andrews' coach to Thomas:

It's a good fit for Nate," Winegarden said. "For me, I just want what the players want, and I'm here to help them anyway I can. It's my role to be very supportive of all our kids.

"That being said, this is a great opportunity for Nate. It's close to home, he's got a good relationship with (FSU assistant) Jeremy Pruitt and he liked what he saw on his visit. I'm happy for him."

Andrews is 6'0 and 193 pounds, which fits the size component Florida State is looking for in its corners.

Andrews also lists offers from Tennessee, Ole Miss and Louisville. He also lists an offer from Alabama, but I do not believe that to be committable.

Andrews is the 20th commitment of the 2013 class, though Richy Klepal will likely be medically disqualified due to concussion issues and will not count against the 85-scholarship limit.
