On red-shirt sophomore QB Jacob Coker...
Some students have seen who they believe to be Jacob Coker in a boot, which implies an injury of some kind. This is obviously not a good thing, but it doesn't speak to the severity of the injury.
It's important to note that Coker was not seen on crutches, and also that FSU is very quick to boot just about anyone for any foot or ankle type injury. It's even become a joke on message boards, twitter and the comment section, with lines like "they'll put a boot on ya."
Coker is competing for the starting quarterback job against Red-shirt junior Clint Trickett and red-shirt freshman Jameis Winston.
I'm putting this out because I don't want the comment section of every article to turn into "Jacob Coker injury watch 2013."
FSU has not released any information on this or any other spring injuries.
Florida State spring practice begins March 20.
