FSU is preparing for its April 13 spring game.
FSU 4th quarter drills (via Dustin Tackett)
Florida State had one of its open media sessions today during the fourth quarter workout session. Tomahawk Contributor Dustin Tackett was on hand, and will be along to share more notes in the comment section.
Out for spring
CB/S Tyler Hunter (meniscus), CB Ronald Darby (sports hernia), DT Demonte McAllister (labrum), CB Nick Waisome (unknown), and Jacob Fahrenkrug (unknown, and how is he still on the roster?). We had previously reported on Hunter, Darby and McAllister.
Bryan Stork is banged up, but could be back before the end of spring. Bobby Hart will have to motivate himself as opposed to being pushed by Stork.
Enter P.J. Williams? Enter P.J. Williams. These injuries do hurt, however, because FSU is installing a new defensive system.
Darby, Waisome and Hunter all out for spring.Jimbo excited about what PJ Williams and Colin Blake have been doing. Perfect time to show it

Jacob Coker was in the walking boot, but Fisher said that he did not expect him to miss spring.
Coker was in a boot today, but he did ride the stationary and worked with training ropes. Jimbo said he should be out there every day.

Football > Baseball
Fisher said Jameis Winston will not miss any football for baseball. He is on a football scholarship, so football has priority.
Looking good
Mario Pender, Dan Hicks and Jacobbi McDaniel, all coming off injuries, looked good. Pender seems to have multiple areas of his life in better order now. Fisher also complimented Bobby Hart and Austin Barron.
Mario Pender ran full drills today and looked good doing so.

Jimbo seemed extremely impressed with Stevenson and Walker, too. Said they haven't missed any class and bring a lot of athleticism.

Jimbo also talked about the receiving vacancy and seemed pretty confident in Dent, but I think we've known this for a while.

Position changes confirmed
We already reported this, but if you missed it, Fisher confirmed that Lamarcus Joyner is moving to cornerback and Dan Hicks is moving to defensive end.
Coaching
-Fisher announced that he would not name a token offensive coordinator (he will carry the title now, as well as the function, which he always carried).
-Tim Brewster will be the recruiting coordinator.
Jimbo regarding new coaches: "we have more idea guys - guys that can stimulate your brain a little bit."
