Korie Rogers is one of the better players in the recruiting class of 2014. Out of Buford (Ga.) High School, Rogers stands 6'1 and weighs in at 210 pounds.
He is a consensus four-star recruit, is considered one of the ten-best inside linebacker recruits in the country, and claims offers from Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Penn State, East Carolina and Nebraska, with several other schools showing interest as well.

Bud Elliott, National Recruiting Analyst: Rogers is going to be overlooked by some due to his size, but overlooking this smaller linebacker would be a big mistake. Some football players who lack elite measurables, particularly at the linebacker position, just have a natural knack for playing the game.
First, Rogers is very strong for his size, and he plays low with good leverage, meaning that he gets the most out of his size. He is not the fastest player, but once he diagnoses the play, he quickly gets to the ball carrier. He picks through traffic and deals with opposing blockers better than I would expect for a player of his size and length.
He is a sure tackler who strikes, wraps up, and brings his legs to immediately stop the progress of the ball carrier.
Rogers profiles as a backer who will be better in zone coverage than in man, because he does not have great hips, but he does have impressive instincts and makes plays on the ball and the receiver.
The usual concerns accompanying a smaller linebacker are there with Rogers, including being able to get off blocks from linemen with much longer arms than him. I would also like to see him diagnose plays more quickly. But if he is protected at the next level by defensive linemen in front of him, he can be a productive college player.
