College football season is only 17 weeks away now, and it was only a matter of time before the opening college football betting lines began to trickle out. That happened Tuesday, as 5Dimes released its numbers. Other offshores will surely follow.
All lines are at a vig of (-120). Given that, and the possibility for injuries, transfers and arrests, it doesn't make much sense to go all-in on these lines. But they are sure fun for discussion.
Tursday, Aug. 29
North Carolina at South Carolina (-14.5)
USC at Hawaii (+19)
Tulsa (-4) at Bowling Green
Saturday, Aug. 31
Alabama vs. Virginia Tech (+22) Note: game played in Atlanta, Ga.
LSU vs. TCU (+6) Note: game played in Arlington, Texas
Georgia at Clemson (-2)
Monday, Sept. 2
Florida State at Pittsburgh (+8.5)
What line are you just chomping at the bit to bet? Is there a game that you expect will move more than others? If so, why? Tell me in the comment section.
