Montravius Adams is the top defensive tackle recruit in the country. With offers from every major power in the Southeast, plus USC, Michigan State had to be pretty excited that it was set to receive an official visit as the Spartans host Notre Dame.
Now, however, that visit is off. Adams tells 247sports that the visit is off because his mother works a lot and could not accompany him on the trip. There's no word if Adams plans to reschedule the visit to see the Spartans in East Lansing.
Clemson has long been considered one of the major favorites for Adams. Out of Vienna (Ga.) Dooly County, Adams is also thought to be favoring Auburn, with Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Michigan State also in the picture. Adams has previously noted that Auburn's recruits are in constant contact with him about becoming a Tiger, and Adams recently took in Auburn's loss to Clemson in the Georgia Dome.
Recently, LSU and USC fans have been making noise on Twitter that their respective schools are making inroads with the explosive tackle.
