Williams is a talented inside linebacker recruit.

Tre' Williams, a four-star inside linebacker from Mobile (Ala.) St. Paul's Episcopal, has committed to Auburn, snubbing the two-time national champions at Alabama to be a part of what Gus Malzahn is trying to build on the Plains.

The 6'2, 217-pounder is considered the No. 3 inside linebacker in the country and the No. 39 player overall, per 247's composite. He's ranked as the No. 4 player out of the state of Alabama, the first of the top ten players in the state to choose Auburn.

Although he's only the fifth player in Gus Malzahn's class, he's the second elite linebacker from Mobile: De'Shaun Davis, a 6'0, 225-pound inside linebacker from Vigor High School, is also amongst Auburn's Class of 2014.

Both players were primarily recruited by Dameyune Craig. The former Carolina Panthers quarterback and Auburn grad is a co-offensive coordinator tasked with coaching the Tigers' wide receivers, but was able to convince Williams and Davis to commit as a fellow Mobile native. Now both Auburn and Alabama have landed two four-star inside linebackers - and one of the top five players in Alabama - in their classes.
