While quarterbacks were the story of Day 2 of Florida State's Jimbo Fisher football camp, there was plenty to be seen at other positions as well, including running back.

The morning session featured an impressive performances from running back Aeris Williams, of West Point (Ms.) High School. Williams looked good catching the football, and Florida State's staff paid him a lot of attention. Williams was able to quickly speak with Dustin Tackett, of Tomahawk Nation.

RB Aeris Williams looked really good today. 6'2 210lbs.

Says he got the [committable] offer from FSU.

Really good size, and has control of his lower body - crucial for making cuts. Seemed to have a nice pair of hands as well, catching basically every ball thrown his way.

I talked to his for a second. Says he loves the staff and everything he's done in camp so far. Also has an offer for Mississippi State, but he was pulled away before I got do dig any further. I'm hoping to to talk to him again once they come back out at 3 o'clock.

Unfortunately, Williams was unavailable in the afternoon session.

Williams will be a tough pull away from Mississippi State, but FSU will try and with Tim Brewster recruiting him, it has a chance. .

Cortavious Givens, from St. Petersburg (Fa.) Admiral Farragut Academy also had a nice day. He's not an FSU caliber player, but the 5'10, 220-pound bruiser does hold an offer from the Virginia Cavaliers and showed good balance.

In the afternoon, Jonathan Vickers and Traveon Samuel stole the show. Vickers, from Tallahassee (Fla.) North Florida Christian is a good prospect, and justified his ranking. Florida State's main competition for him continues to be Louisville, and there is a good chance Vickers stays home in Tallahassee. I spoke with him, and he has Florida State at the top of his list. An article will be coming on Vickers soon.

Samuel, from Phenix City (Al.) Central High School was plenty impressive. His feet are ridiculous, and at 5'8 and about 175 pounds, he is so low to the ground that he is about an impossible cover in high school. I was told Florida State offered the 2015 recruit. He also holds offers from the Auburn Tigers and South Florida Bulls.
