Rutgers landed a major recruiting victory Saturday when Saeed Blacknall, a local recruit, committed to the Scarlett Knights. Blacknall, out of Englishtown Manalapan High School in New Jersey, was heavily pursued by both LSU and Alabama.

The 6'3, 210-pound receiver is widely considered one of the ten best receivers in the country. In addition to Rutgers, Alabama and LSU, Blacknall held offers from Florida State, Clemson, Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Syracuse and Wisconsin.
The consensus four-star receiver has an excellent combination of receiver skills, including height, length, speed, agility and the ability to go up and get the football.
For Rutgers to win a battle over the likes of LSU and Alabama for Manalapan's Saeed Blacknall is a huge selling point to other recruits.
