Kentucky hosting Louisville, top recruits

Kentucky attempt to pull an upset of Louisville this weekend on the field, and in the stands, several top recruits will be watching.

The top visitor is Marcelys Jones, an offensive lineman committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes. Jones, out of Cleveland, is a 6'4, 350-pound guard. Kentucky getting a visit from an Ohio State commitment is a good sign. Even if Kentucky cannot flip Jones, if he enjoys his visit, he may speak well of the Wildcats to other prospects in the talent-rich state of Ohio.

One of the headliners is an  underclassmen, in Messiah DeWeaver, a 2015 quarterback out of Ohio.

2015 offensive tackle George Brown, Jr., of Kentucky, will also visit, as will offensive lineman Cody McPeek, also of Kentucky.

2016 receiver Teryn Savage, of Cary (N.C.), will also visit. Kentucky's air-raid offense is attracting the attention of many talented receivers.

Two prospects who were one thought to be visiting are Darrin Hall, a 2015 running back out of Youngstown (Ohio) Fitch, and 2015 linebacker Justin Hilliard.

Due to the lack of talent in the state of Kentucky, teams are forced to look elsewhere to find players. And in doing so, head coach Mark Stoops' family ties to the Ohio coaching community are a big help.
