Florida State football rooting guide, TV listings

Every week we take a look at what results across the country could most benefit Florida State's chance winning the college football playoff. This is a change from previous weeks, in which we chose who to root for based on what gave FSU the best chance of reaching the playoff.

We'll be grouping these by conference.

Big Ten

Ohio State at Michigan State: Sparty! Let's get the Spartans in this playoff.

Big XII

Kansas State at TCU: TCU, because they'll be favored to win out, will be in the playoff, and are a team over FSU would definitely be favored.

Baylor at Oklahoma: Baylor, as a backup plan in case TCU and Kansas State both drop another game.

Pac-12

-Notre Dame at Arizona State: Notre Dame. The Irish are FSU's best win.

-Oregon at Utah: Utah, because Oregon is probably better than a Big XII or Big Ten champ, and a loss could mean it's FSU, SEC, Big XII and Big Ten champs in the playoff.

SEC

Texas A&M at Auburn: Aggies, but it won't happen.

Alabama at LSU: Tigers. Could set up a scenario where Mississippi State splits its games @ Bama and @ Ole Miss, and still wins the West.
