How interested is FSU in the Detroit star?

Receiver recruit Donnie Corley, of Detroit's MLK Jr. High School, was offered by the Seminoles Tuesday night.

Receiver is an interesting position for the Seminoles in this recruiting cycle.. Florida State already holds a commitment from Keith Gavin, of Wakulla (Fla.). Gavin is considered a very solid commit and is a four-star. Nate Craig-Myers, a five-star out of Tampa (Fla.) Catholic is the top prospect on the board. He recently decommitted from Auburn, and could commit to FSU at any time, though he is still considering both programs. Florida State knows that every time Craig-Myers is scheduled to visit Auburn, FSU is only about 40 minutes out of the way and the Seminoles try to get him to stop in every time he sees the Tigers.

There is some debate about whether Florida State will take two or three receivers or one or two running backs. Some believe that FSU will take two and one, others three and two. The likely sweet spot will be four total. But it seems clear that FSU has Craig-Myers way out in front as a priority, and are not heavily pursuing other receivers at this time.

If FSU does look to take three, however, Corley and Tre Nixon, of Melbourne (Fla.) Viera, seem like the most likely targets from whom FSU would accept a commitment. Corley is a top-15 receiver and Nixon is a top-45 receiver, according to 247Sports, but FSU likes Nixon quite a bit.

After winning 29 straight games and sending 29 players to the draft in three years, FSU can get just about any player in the country to at least visit.

Jimbo Fisher's first football camp of the summer is two weeks from Wednesday and Tomahawk Nation will be there bringing full coverage.
