Four-star receiver Tre Nixon explains why he likes Florida, Georgia, Penn State and Texas A&M.
ORLANDO -- Tre Nixon's Viera (Fla.) High School didn't fare too well in the 7A State Championship Friday, losing to St. Thomas Aquinas, 45-10. The Raiders doubled the four-star receiver for much of the night, limiting him to just three catches.
But Nixon, the 7A Player Of The Year who came in to the game with 74 catches for 1,224 yards and 18 touchdowns, is still a major recruiting target for a number of top schools. The 6'1 star has good hands and savvy route-running ability with great quickness, which has earned him more than 20 scholarship offers.
After the loss, Nixon spoke with SB Nation about where he is in the recruiting process. He named four teams -- the Florida Gators, Georgia Bulldogs, Penn State Nittany Lions and Texas A&M Aggies, and wants to make a decision in the coming weeks.
What will be the main factors in his decision? Watch the video interview to find out.
