Ohio State lands a top defensive end recruit.

Joey Bosa, an elite defensive end recruit, has committed to Ohio State University after a visit to the Buckeyes' spring game. Bosa stars for Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas School. He also holds offers from Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Miami, LSU, Michigan and West Virginia. He is a consensus four-star recruit.

Bosa stands 6'6 and weighs in at 260 pounds. He has an excellent short-area quickness and is much too powerful for the vast majority of high school offensive linemen he faces. Bosa has excellent hands and is quite advanced for a high school player. He is able to attack the half-man and get the opposing blocker off balance. His awareness is good, and he does not get caught over-pursuing.

Bosa will likely play the five or six-technique end for Ohio State. He is the 12th commitment of the 2013 class for Urban Meyer's Buckeyes. Ohio State's class is currently the second best in the Big Ten, trailing only Michigan.
