Tyler Moore Transfer Update: Could FSU Add Nebraska's Starting Left Tackle?

Tyler Moore might be coming to Florida State. Moore, you may remember, was a consensus four-star recruit out of Countryside High School in the class of 2011. He signed with and started at offensive tackle for Nebraska as a true freshman.

But something has happened between Moore and Nebraska, and the big offensive lineman has withdrawn and will take classes at St. Pete College this fall while he considers whether to return to Nebraska, transfer to Florida State or to Florida, his father tells the Tampa Bay Times.

"He is back home. He had some things he wasn't happy about at Nebraska, and he's going to come home to get his head straight,'' Brian Moore said Monday. "He'll take classes at St. Pete College, and then in January he'll make a decision.''

I do not know what is going on between Moore and Nebraska. His offensive coordinator was quite cryptic.

"He's a great young man, and we'd love to have him in the program, and I think he knows that," Beck said. "I think he likes being here. I just think there's some things he needs to straighten out on his own, and we're giving him his freedom to be able to do that."

There have been rumblings that some of the offensive linemen are not getting along with Nebraska's offensive line coach, but his father denied those reports.

I'm sure Corn Nation and Alligator Army will also be closely monitoring this situation.

Moore would have three years of eligibility if he were to transfer to Florida State in the spring of 2013. Coaches cannot comment on potential transfers, but Moore is a very good player and I do believe FSU would accept him if he wants to come.
