A big part of recruiting is keeping currently committed prospects. Alabama will look to do both that and add new commitments this weekend as the national champion Crimson Tide welcomes six committed recruits to campus in Texas cornerback Maurice Smith, Alabama cornerback Jonathan Cook, Alabama receiver ArDarius Stewart, Georgia running back Tyren Jones, and Arkansas running back Altee Tenpenny, a major target who Arkansas is trying desperately to bring to Fayetteville.

They'll try to persuade the following seven uncommitted recruits to join them in Tuscaloosa.

Not yet committed to Alabama

Laremy TunsilColumbia High School (Lake City, FL)
OT6-6/295

Tunsil is the top offensive tackle commitment in the country. His recruitment has basically boiled down to UGA and Alabama, but Ole Miss, Texas and Florida State still have a really outside shot at the five-star. He is expected to visit with Derrick Henry, a fellow five-star from Florida who enrolled early.

Matthew ThomasBooker T. Washington High School (Miami, FL)
OLB6-3.5/210

Thomas is one of the finest outside linebackers in the country. The five-star has outstanding range, explosiveness, and the potential to get much bigger and stronger. He's down to Alabama, Georgia, Florida State and Miami.

Antonio ConnerSouth Panola High School (Batesville, MS)
S6-1.5/203

Conner is one of the best safeties nationally. A big hitter, the five-star is considering Alabama, Auburn, and the hometown Ole Miss Rebels.

He recently held off on making a commitment.

Dee LinerMuscle Shoals High School (Muscle Shoals, AL)
DT6-2.5/277

Liner is a great talent and an Auburn commit. But few expect him to remain with the Tigers, and he was quite chummy with the contingent of Alabama commitments at the Under Armour All-America Game. Liner made a few visits to Tuscaloosa in the Fall, some of which were intended to remain under-the-radar. He is a consensus five-star recruit.

Austin GolsonPrattville High School (Prattville, AL)
OT6-6/285

Golson is a Florida State commitment and likes offensive line coach Rick Trickett. But Alabama is the top program in the country right now and the pressure to remain in the Yellowhammer State will be intense. Golson is a consensus four-star recruit.

Tim WilliamsUniversity Lab School (Baton Rouge, LA)
WDE6-3/215

It's unclear whether Williams' offers from Alabama, LSU and Florida State are still "committable." Nevertheless, he's making the trip to Tuscaloosa. WIlliams likely destination will be Miami unless LSU firms up its offer and allows him to stay home.

Jay-nard BostwickWest Centennial High School (Port Saint Lucie, FL)
SDE6-4/280

If Bostwick had better grades he'd be higher up on the wishlist of many recruitniks. He's already there for the schools. Strong and explosive, Bostwick may end up in a prep school for a year to improve his academic credentials. The Gators and Hurricanes are also interested.
