Safety recruit Paris Bostick committed to the Georgia Bulldogs Monday over the Arkansas Razorbacks. Bostick, a consensus three-star recruit from Tampa Plan High School, also claimed offers from Louisville, Rutgers and South Florida.
Georgia has an excellent connection with Plant High, having previously signed QB Aaron Murray and tight end Orson Charles from the school.
Bostick is 6'1 and 217 pounds, and does have room to add more muscle.
He profiles as an in-the-box safety. This will allow him to use his quickness and physical style to stop the run and disrupt short passes. Playing in the box will also not expose Bostick to covering large areas, which could be difficult for him given his average top speed. Bostick should play in a zone scheme and attack downhill. He is not built to split out wide and cover receivers.
Bostick can be a smart, physical and effective player in Georgia's defense. He is the 25th commitment of the 2013 class for the Bulldogs.
