Michigan started a bit slow with the class of 2014, but that all changed in April, as the Wolverines added five new commitments. The only true recruiting competition for the Wolverines in the Big Ten is Ohio State. And Michigan still has plenty of top prospects on the board.

Drake Harris, Grand Rapids (Mich.) Christian School: Harris is a huge addition to the Michigan class. Formerly committed to Michigan State, he de-committed and later chose Michigan on April 14. Michigan has crushed Michigan State in recruiting ever since Brady Hoke showed up, and bringing in Harris, one of the best receivers in the country and potentially a true difference-maker, is just another example of the Wolverines' dominance over the Spartans on the recruiting trail. Harris stands 6'4 and weighs 180 pounds. He is a consensus four-star recruit and a top-10 receiver nationally by all accounts.
Bryan Mone, Salt Lake City (Utah) Highland High School: Mone is a massive defensive tackle at 6'4 and about 340 pounds. While some of that is probably going to come off in college, the consensus four-star recruit has tremendous power, and could play early for the Wolverines.
Mason Cole, Tarpon Springs (Fla.) East Lake High School: Cole is an excellent offensive line recruit. At 6'4 and 285 pounds, some question if the consensus four-star has the ability to play tackle in college. He chose the Wolverines in late February over many SEC offers.
Michael Ferns, St. Clairsville (Ohio) High School: Ferns is a very solid inside linebacker recruit at 6'3 and 238 pounds. He carries a consensus four-star rating. Ferns claims offers from Alabama, Ohio State and Notre Dame as well.
Juwann Bushell-Beatty, Paramus (N.J.) Catholic High School: Bushell-Beatty is a consensus four-star offensive tackle recruit and is widely regarded as one of the best 25 at his position. He stands 6'7 and checks in at 310 pounds. He chose Michigan over multiple BCS offers.
Ian Bunting, Hilsdale (Ill.) Central High School: Bunting is a 6'6, 210-pound tight end recruit. He's adept at receiving, but also offers the frame to eventually become an in-line blocker. Bunting is a consensus four-star recruit and is widely considered one of the 15 best tight ends nationally.
Maurice Ways, Detroit (Mich.) Country Day School: Ways is a tall receiver who chose to stay home and play for the Wolverines. Ways is a consensus three-star recruit, and has the height to go up and get the football at 6'4.
Wilton Speight, Richmond (Va.) Collegiate School: After bringing in a quarterback the quality of Shane Morris (one of 2013's best), it can be difficult to attract another elite prospect. But Speight looks to be a good one at 6'6 and 200 pounds. He is a consensus three-star.
Brady Pallante, Naples (Fla.) Barron Collier High School: Pallante is listed as a greyshirt defensive tackle at 6'1 and 255 pounds. He committed to Michigan in early April.
